bundle of surprises

Our bundle of energy has a lot in store to surprise us. would always challenges limits . Amazed me with her divine smile just after 1 month I literally yelled to Va to come quick so that he won't miss it. Turned over soon after 2 months and since then never slept on her back till now :-) every day was unique while I was on Maternity leave. No big troubles  switching to formula or joining back work other than little hassles when she started teething. Beautifully adapted to this alien land, now has over 6 teeth being emrged and already on her way to take independant steps and loads of talk. Has good music sense won't stop at listening makes her own and loves all the  natural food that's one thing and rejects out side food that's quite some thing indeed. She seemed cooperated with the weaning process also but with her teeething troubles and moving to a new place I am no too rigid about it either.

Now she decides to throw a not so pleasant  surprise. It's her mid day snack time and she's feeling sleepy too but I thought she can wait for a few mins and  I can finish my shower quickly. I have started off put shampoo into hair and had to rush to the bedroom dripping Sivoham's screaming at top of her lungs, I try to explain that atleast I'd wash my hair and come back in vain. Finally after feeding her a Gerber jar apple cinnamon and leaving her yelling again I washed my half shampooed hair. I thought it's a singular scenario she might be really hungry and wanted me around I was wrong again As soon as I leave for bathroom she'd start off.

As a rule we have decided we  won't go back to our times and how the earlier generation dealt with some thing right from pregnancy. But I can't help remembering the days when we eagerly awaited Amma's return when she goes to visit her siblings or for a function even when we were teenagers .They have coined a term for this separation anxiety but beyond vaccination I don't want to turn to Medical professionals for advice.May be this too is a stage or we're forgetting that she's a child in our awe and amazement she causes.Yes it's flattering but very unlike sivoham.
